Teambuilding.... Whether in the form of a corporate retreat, social club gathering or kids party, we cater for everyone. Our tailor-made activities are designed to teach and emphasize the vital components of a well-run company such as teamwork, communication and workplace empathy through fun and a little silliness! We encourage people from all walks of life, any body shape and size to take part in the various games and strategic activities on offer - there is definitely something for everyone.
Although the majority of the activities are based at Tsitsikamma Cottages, we are open to negotiate package deals with all the other establishments in the area with regards to accommodation for bigger groups and additional activities. The point is to encourage people to come to Tsitsikamma for an unforgettable experience, and that not only means at Tsitsikamma Cottages.
All the activities are outcomes-based: it s not just another bonding exercise, nor are partakers forced to cross a river with only a short plank and a ball of string, i.e., do the impossible. We take people out of their comfort zones for a little while and let them explore a different side of themselves by thinking creatively and doing things they would not normally do or be exposed to. The icebreaker activities do just that - they define the leaders and the slackers amongst the teams and make people realize that everybody will be required to take part in everything. The rest of the exercise is then made up of adventure games, survival games, water games and paintball challenges in which teams need to strategize, work together and contribute equally in order to win. Each game is vastly different, and the activities are run in a round-robin style, thus a large number of teams consisting of up to 8 members each can be accommodated. The exercise is personally facilitated by Wynand and Sian, along with a few trained assistants to ensure that things run smoothly and without incident. We focus heavily on the competitive aspect - the more there is at stake, the harder people tend to work!
To round off a teambuild, a prize giving is held during which the best parts of the exercise are highlighted, as well as the aspects which require a bit more attention in each team. At the end of the day, the aim is for people to take valuable knowledge and new skills with them when they leave this beautiful place. Not to mention great memories and amazing photos! All the participants have raved about their experiences, and have promised to return for more.
